MakerIQ Terms of Service

Effective date: October 1, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of getmakeriq.com, app.getmakeriq.com and related services (the “Service”) provided by MakerIQ, LLC (“MakerIQ,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you agree on its behalf.

1. YouTube Terms of Service

MakerIQ uses YouTube API Services. By using MakerIQ, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms. MakerIQ is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

2. The Service

MakerIQ provides market and competitive intelligence about YouTube channels in the maker categories, including woodworking and laser engraving. The Service shows public channel statistics provided by YouTube, along with trends, comparisons and metrics that MakerIQ calculates from them.

3. Data sources and MakerIQ metrics

YouTube data. Figures such as subscriber counts, view counts and video counts are provided by YouTube and shown as returned. They may be rounded or delayed by YouTube, and they are refreshed on a regular schedule.

MakerIQ metrics. Growth rates, rankings, benchmarks, scores and other derived figures are calculated independently by MakerIQ. They are not provided, approved or verified by YouTube or Google, and they are labeled as MakerIQ metrics in the Service.

All data and metrics are provided for informational purposes. They are estimates and trends, not guarantees of any channel’s performance, and you are responsible for decisions you make based on them.

4. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at security@getmakeriq.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Free trials, subscriptions and billing

Some plans begin with a free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically and is billed at the then-current price for your plan.

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice, effective at your next renewal. Payments are processed by [PAYMENT PROCESSOR].

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service, or data from it, to harass, threaten, target or encourage abuse of any creator or channel;
  • scrape, crawl or use automated means to extract data from the Service beyond the export tools we provide;
  • resell, redistribute, sublicense or publicly republish YouTube data obtained through the Service, or offer it as part of another data product or API;
  • share your login with people outside your account, or attempt to access another customer’s data;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to bypass its security or usage limits;
  • use the Service in violation of the YouTube Terms of Service, the YouTube API Services Terms or any applicable law.

Exports are provided for your internal business use only.

7. Your content and settings

You keep ownership of the information you provide, such as your channel lists and settings. You grant MakerIQ a limited license to use it only to operate and improve the Service. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. MakerIQ’s property

The Service, including its software, design, MakerIQ metrics and branding, is owned by MakerIQ and protected by law. YouTube data remains subject to YouTube’s terms and rights. These Terms do not give you any right to use MakerIQ’s or YouTube’s trademarks.

9. Availability and changes

The Service depends on YouTube API Services, which YouTube may change, limit or discontinue. We may modify or discontinue features, including where required to comply with YouTube’s policies. We will try to give reasonable notice of material changes.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if required by law or by YouTube’s policies. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 3, 8, 11, 12 and 14) will survive.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE AND ALL DATA ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAKERIQ WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR REVENUE. MAKERIQ’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID MAKERIQ IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.
